Our Dish Cake is a hard dish soap that effectively cuts through grease and cleans your dishes. Just wet the soap with hot water, rub your sponge or scrubber on it and then wash your dishes. If you like to fill your sink, wet the soap and then pour out the water to create sudsing dish water to work with. We include a slice of loofah, which makes for a great biodegradable sponge. Each jar weighs 8-ounces and lasts for several weeks.

We make this product because we want to limit the amount of one-time-use plastic bottles in the environment. This is why we do not make body wash, conditioner, or liquid dish detergent. When we can find replacements for our lotion jars and lip balm tubes, we will stop using plastic for these items, too. It’s also why we wrap our bar soap in biolefin shrink-wrap, because it degrades within a two-year cycle. This product supports a zero waste movement mindset. Using it gets you closer to being a zero waste consumer.

This product is made from Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Distilled Water, White Vinegar, Sodium Carbonate, Lemon Essential Oil, Tea Tree Essential Oil.

Know Your Ingredients: Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate is a sodium salt ester, or a fatty acid derived from coconut oil. It is used in cosmetics and personal care products as a surfactant and is often seen in hair care products like shampoos because of its ability to help water to mix with oil and dirt, allowing them to be more easily rinsed away. Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate is also seen as an ingredient in a variety of soaps and cleansing products. As a surfactant, it creates a wet feeling, it solubilizes oils, and reduces surface tension, and can aid in foaming as well.
